TRANSform Federal Grant Awarded to Harmony Family Center/DCS for Trauma-Informed Care
Harmony is the proud recipient of a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Children’s Bureau in support of TRANSform, a demonstration project designed to improve the ability of the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services (DCS) to serve children in the State’s child welfare system: to advance child safety, well-being, adoption and post-adoption outcomes through system-wide trauma-informed practice.
The award totals up to $ 2.5 million over a five-year period. The project will involve collaboration between Harmony Family Center, DCS, Nashville’s Family and Children’s Services, and Donaldson Adoption Institute. Other TRANSform partners include: Tennessee Department of Mental Health, Tennessee Centers of Excellence, Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), and Camelot Care.
