The Permanency Support Program assists the Department of Children’s Services with finalizing foster care adoptions in identified DCS regions. The program is staffed by Permanency Coordinators who complete the following tasks: working with the pre-adoptive family to complete adoption assistance, completing pre-placement/presentation summaries, assisting the family in finding an attorney to file the adoption paperwork, preparing confidential court reports, and attending the adoption finalization hearing with the adoptive family and child.
