Keith Bailey

Professional and Community Development Director

Keith has led the Training Department and served on the Executive Team at Harmony Family Center since 2016 and has over 30 years of experience working with children and families.  He has served children in residential treatment, supported foster and adoptive families, and has worked as a Consultant for the University of Tennessee’s Social Work Office of Research and Public Service, where he trained child welfare staff and foster parents, developed curricula, and offered technical support.  He has trained and consulted across the U.S. and Canada as an independent consultant and on behalf of the Child Welfare League of America and the National Technical Assistance Center.

 

Keith earned a B.A. in Psychology from Tennessee Wesleyan College, an M.Div. from Duke University, and an M.S. in Child Development and Ph.D. in Human Ecology, with a concentration in Child and Family Studies, from the University of Tennessee.  Additionally, he is a Professionally Certified Trainer for Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and was a Fellow of the ChildTrauma Academy from 2017-2021.

Allison Douglas

Resource Center Manager/Parent Coach

Allison Cooke Douglas, M.S., IECMH-E®, is the Resource Center Program Manager at Harmony Family in Knoxville, TN and serves as a post-permanency expert at the National Center for Enhanced Post-Adoption Support. Over the past decade, Allison’s work has focused on post-permanency family support.  She has developed and presented curricula regarding therapeutic parenting, the impact of early trauma on the developing brain, and best practices in the child welfare system. In her work with Tennessee’s Adoption Support and Preservation (ASAP) program, Allison provides direct services to adoptive families as a part of Harmony’s multidisciplinary ASAP team.   Allison holds an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement, is certified in Phases I and II of The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics and is a Neurosequential Model in Education trainer. She is a Napa Infant-Parent & Early Childhood Mental Health fellow and was selected for the 2022-23 All Educators cohort at The Fred Rogers Institute. Allison brings her lived experience as an adoptive parent of four children to her work.

Franny Alexander

Resource Center Coordinator/Educational Advocate

Franny Alexander has been an adoptive and foster mother for over 10 years. She received her bachelor’s degree from Liberty University. She currently serves as the Resource Center Coordinator, providing parent coaching and support. Additionally, Franny facilitates parent support groups across Tennessee. Franny is certified as an Educational Advocate.

Jay Butler

School Culture Facilitator at Knox County Schools

Jay Butler, Ed.S., has over 10 years of professional experience collaborating with educational institutions, organizations, and community groups, in building and sustaining systems to provide agency to marginalized communities and support the development of resilient communities. Her experience extends into strategic planning, professional development, program development, and grant writing. Specific areas of expertise are Cultural Competency, Culturally-Responsive Instruction, Trauma-Responsive practices, Special Education practices, and establishing care systems for foster and adopted youth.

She currently serves as a School Culture Facilitator with an East Tennessee school district, collaborating with school leaders to foster inclusive school climates and culture. Outside her role as a facilitator, she provides leadership and strategy consultancy to organizations through her company, Edjaycation Solutions, LLC.

She is a graduate of Pellissippi State Community College, Johnson University, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and Lincoln Memorial University. She holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Nonprofit Management and Bible of Theology; Masters of Science in Special Education, with certifications in Special Education and English as a Second Language; and an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership, with a certification in K-12 School Administration. She is a graduate student and RISE Scholar pursuing a Ph.D. in Special Education.

Jay is a native of Greensboro, NC, however, Knoxville, TN, has been her home for over 12 years. She has two sons, Jaycen and Jackson, but claims many other children through fostering, teaching, and youth ministry. She proudly boasts that she is a “PK” (preacher’s kid) and credits her love for community, collaboration, and service to her parents, who are both ministers.

Kelsie McGlothin, LMFT

AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate; Individual & Family Therapist

Kelsie is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has been working clinically with families since 2016. Her experience ranges from treating clients in community mental health settings to private group practice, with more than 3 years working with adoptive families via the ASAP program at Harmony Family Center. She currently serves clients in Harmony’s Therapeutic Services clinic.
Her clients are age 2 to 65+, with special focus on healing from developmental/complex trauma. Kelsie is certified in Phase 1 of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics™, and she’s trained in S.A.F.E. (somatic and attachment focused) EMDR and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She offers a variety of knowledge of interventions when offering treatment and education, including behavioral, somatic, attachment-based, relational and more.

Rebecca Lehmicke, LPC

Clinical Director

Rebecca has worked with children and families throughout her life in different capacities and now serves as Harmony’s Clinical Director. She has an undergraduate degree in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia and a graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. She is licensed in the state of Tennessee as a professional counselor and has been trained in several modalities including TBRI, EFT, IFS, SMART, and in the process of becoming an NMT™ Phase II clinician. Rebecca is mom to two little girls and one tiny dog. When life allows, she enjoys being outside, trying new restaurants, and sneaking in a nap or a coffee date with a friend.

Sinead holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and School Counseling, with a certificate in Grief, Trauma and Loss from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has training including Child Centered Play Therapy, EMDR, SMART, and Phase I NMT™ certification. Her research and clinical experiences have focused on children with incarcerated parents, the juvenile justice system, foster and adoptive youth, and children who have experienced trauma, working in both clinical and school settings, LGBTQIA+ youth, adults and families.
